Apple 8gb Ipod touch worth it?

Is the 8gb IPod touch worth the price & about how many songs will 8gb hold?

well the 8gb roughly holds about 1,750 songs. its awesome for a quick check of your email, games when bored, and plain old internet. it works really well and there's a lot of features that you can add that dont come with the ipod itself. but if your a music phene like me, then that number of songs is just not enough. but its definitely good for the internet, calandaer will keep you really organized and the notes app is a huge help. but when you can get an ipod that holds up to 40,000 songs would you get the one that holds less than 2,000? if what you want from the ipod is not music..then definitely get it!

Yes, I think the iPod Touch is definitely worth the price - if you're going to use its wi-fi features, like web browsing, e-mail, etc.

If you're just getting an iPod to listen to music/watch videos, I'd recommend another iPod.  8GB is not a lot of memory to watch movies.  

Of course, if you just want the coolness of a touchscreen music player, you can try some of the alternatives out there, like the Archos 604 (http://reviews.cnet.com/portable-video-p... ).

8GB will hold about up to 1,750 songs, 10,000 photos, or 10 hours of video, or a mixture of each.

Overall, I'd highly recommend the iPod Touch (but then again, I am a former Apple employee).  It's cool, it's reasonably sleek, and the user interface is unprecedented.

i have a regular 8 gb ipod and it only holds about 1600.

if you don't have much music, i'd say it's definitely worth it.

if you have a lot, i'd say your better off getting just a regular 30-80gb ipod.

i got one for my birthday last week and i love it, i have 900 songs, 4 episodes of friends, about 20 apps, 112 photos and i still have 1.97 GB left. I think it is worth it!

8 GB holds about 1,600 songs, but if you put movies on there those take up a lot of space.  Wait another month... Apple is coming out with a new generation iPod touch in September, and you can get the 1st generation for a lot cheaper on Ebay once the newest ones come out.

The iPod touch is totally worth it.

You have internet, itunes, Apps Store, Weather, Mail, Music, Video, Pictures, and mroe.

It holds about a 1000 songs, or i think 100 hours of video.
