Aprilia RS50 won't turn over!?

I have a 2006 Aprilia RS50 and the bike won't start when i use the starter, the bike will jump start and everything else works fine. I have replaced the starter that works from my friends older model rs50 and it still dosen't turn over, can anyone help?

  1. I roadrace an RS50 in a mini-endurance series but ours doesn't have a starter.  Your bike is very easy to push start so I'd try that first.  Make sure the fuel is on, put it in 2nd gear and pull in the clutch.  Run beside it for a couple seconds and then jump on, release the clutch and give it some gas.  It may take a few times but if that doesn't work, you're issue isn't the starter.


  2. sounds like your solenoid follow the heavy wire from starter to a box with two heavy wires that's it there any diy person will be able to fit any old one whither it be two or three wires to check this bridge a s***w over the two connections and see if the bike turns and don't jump with the spark OK
