Aquatic hermit crabs how to?

son brought home from the beach 2 hermit crabs, how do i set up a saltwater aqu, what do they eat, etc...

please help

They stay mainly on/in the sand. They go into the sea to breed. You'll need an aquarium, half-logs, branches to climb on, shells to change into, water dishes, food dishes, and sand or a soil mixture. I prefer to have a ten gallon aquarium and lots of shells for the hermit crabs to change into. Hermit crabs like to hide under the logs and they like to burrow in the sand or soil. They also like to climb on top of the logs and any sticks that you put in there. I have two water dishes--one for salt water and one for fresh water. I use two large flat shells to put hermit crab meal on one and fresh veggies or fruit on the other. Mine seems to prefer carrots.
