Are Acer Computers Good?

I recently bought a Dell desktop. I'm very happy with it. Lately, however, I have been wanting to buy a notebook pc just so I can take with me on trips, around the house, or simply to the coffee shop. Circuit City currently has an Acer Extensa EX5620-4801 15.4" Widescreen Laptop for $499. Is this a good brand? Should I get it or should I just not get anything at all, since I already do have a desktop computer? What do you guys think?

I don't really care about the brand so much. I'd look for what's under the hood - Processor, Hard Drive, RAM and Video card, etc.

Acer make good laptops. I don't know anything about that model though.

If you have the money you should get a laptop.
