Are Brown Wood Turtles Poisonous?

There is no such thing as a poisonous turtle.

Many people have said that turtles, in general, are not poisonous. However, as much as I'd like to agree with that, it's not true. The only turtles you have to worry about being poisonous, though, would be the red ones, with long, sharp claws.

do you have a picture of this brown wood turtle?  I would love to see it.  if it is wild-caught, please return it right where you found it.  It may be illegal in your state to keep wild-caught turtles.  wild-caught turtles do not make good pets.

No, but they are protected and illegal to keep over most of their range.
