Are Cruises Expensive?

I want to go on a cruise this summer, I know the basic price for a boarding fee, but once you are on the actual ship do you spend a lot of money? Also, are the bedrooms and bathrooms nice? Do you have any suggestions or tips for a cruise?

Excursions on the ship can be quite expensive. If you're adventurous, you can sometimes book when you get to the port or just walk around town and hang out. The beaches are usually a ways from the cruise port but taxis are plentiful. Liquor will raise your bill a lot.If you only do soda,buy the card for a week when you check in. The cabins can be small but a clean and comfortable. Of course you're not going to sit in the room,are you? Get out and meet people! You'll have more fun. A good bet for the money.Shop around for a cruise that suits you and your budget. Cheap is not always better.

i've been on a few.  they are fun and not expensive at all because you are eating, lodged, entertained, and get to travel for one price.  drinks and odds run more but are affordable.

the rooms are small and the bathrooms very small.  it's a place to rest and sleep and that is about it, unless you spring for a really expensive room.  the ships are huge and you spend all day about the ship so go with a cheap room.

i like norweigen cruise lines because you set your own dinner time.  others give you an invite and you have to be there at the time instructed.  carnival is lower budget but they do a good cruise.
