Me and my partner love anything to do with ghosts. My partner really wants to do a ouiji board but I said that I don't want to do it. This is because I have been brought up never to do them.

We know how to set it up is it relly dangerouse? Or am I over reacting? I have also herd that they can make your home haunted is this true?

  1. Very dangerous. They will control your life. Don't underestimate their power. you should burn it immediately.

  2. No. Its just a game.

  3. According to someone who I know is clairvoyant, they are very dangerous!!!!

So I would advise you not to use one.

  4. Any item like a ouija board is not recommended by myself nor any member of my group.  Several reasons are involved.

    1.  Could you be sure that the person you were attempting to contact is indeed the person who has responded?

    2.  Ouija boards have no magical power.  But they do have instructions.  That is because they were invented as a board game for ladies to play after dinner parties when spiritualism first rose in popularity.

    3.  Even though the board itself might not be of any harm, who is to say that it would not be possible to actually contact the other side based on the words that you are saying.

    4.  We never employ the use of a ouija board during an investigation of the paranormal.  on a personal note, I would like it if they were all distroyed asap.

Unless you know what you are doing when you start calling on the dead, my suggestion is...don't do it.  What are you going to do once one shows up?

  5. They are not very dangerous.  Most people who don't know anything about them just say "oh my god, don't ever do them"  let me copy and paste, brb

  6. yes...you should not meddle with things that deal with the unknown...i had a friends cousin die from it. They were playing and it's like his spirit was taken right out of him in an instance...i wouldn't even risk touching it

  7. Try doing it blindfolded with a third party to read your answers/

  8. Yes my sister and her friends had some bad experiences with one she threw it in he dumpster.

  9. I am shocked at all the people on here that are ignorant (uninformed) with respect to the dangers of the Ouija board! It is NOT just a game. You can open yourself or your home up to spirits that will cause you to be miserable! I recommend that NO ONE use a Ouija board. It is not something to be fooled around with.

All you so-called Christians who think it's a game, please read:

    Also:

"It has been explained that the dangers of using an Ouija Board come from the ease of contacting the "lower spirits" or the more malevolent spirits that remain earthbound. These are said to be the criminal element while in life and those who retain angry and hostile emotions at death, not having good intentions. You have no control over who responds when you evoke spirits by means of an Ouija Board. That seems to be the one point everyone agrees upon be they pro or con to its use. Responding entities have been known to lie and deceive by the answers they give, being very convincing by using the name of the one the user intends to contact. "

I may get thumbs down for this, but please don't use a Ouija board. There are other forms of divination that aren't as dangerous.

    Good luck. :)

  10. It could be dangerous if you throw it, trip over it, or eat it.  lol

  11. I was told by a long time ago by a biology teacher :) not to play around with Ouiji boards, and I have taken her advice ever since ;)  Seriously, as I'm quite superstitious.  Why risk giving an opening to some ominous spirit or ghost (that 'hasn't gone over to the other side' yet)?  That ol' adage, 'when in doubt, throw it out' (typically when talking about spoiled food but the saying is ubiquitous :)  And on that note, when unsure if one has a medical ailment, 'when in doubt, get it checked out'.

  12. Mark Twain said "It's not what we don't know that can hurt us, it's what we do know that isn't so."

In this case, the damage is already done - you believe in ghosts and in the "power" of Ouija.  Neither are real; neither can hurt you.

  13. i think monopoly is more dangerous, it teaches us to be greedy rich people! and people get killed in Clue every game!

its just a silly little board game thing. its proven to be done by your subconscious mind and nothing else. dont worry about it!

  14. oh yeah they make you misspell dangerous!

  15. yeah! REALLY dangerous.

  16. It's dangerously a waste of time and money.  It doesn't do anything besides disappoint you!

  17. dangerous only if you believe in it

  18. No...it is a GAME nothing will come of it.  Does anything bad happen when you play Monopoly or Scrabble??

  19. Anytime u deal with witchcraft it can be dangerous.........don't do it

  20. yes, Ouija boards are really dangerous. because you DO NOT know what you are flirting with or what will flirt back. whether you believe in spirits, demons, God or not it doesn't mean they don't exist. my advice is to stick with your up bringing and NOT mess with it. there's a reason you were taught not to. and no, you are not overreacting!

  21. Gotta jump in on this one. A Ouija board is only dangerous if you throw it really hard at someone. Seriously, people, do you think this toy from Toys R Us can summon spirits of the dead?

  22. from my personal experiance, its pretty dangerous. me and my friends made our own ouiji board,(to see if it really worked) and my best friend was touching the board(like you are supposed to) and the lights started flickering, the desk was shaking, and instesd of using th ouiji board, the ghost spoke through her, and said something like "leave me alone, how dare you disturb my peace!!", I swear! so i dont reccomend it!
