Fortunately, Illinois is one of the best states in the country for homeschool freedom.  Based on Illinois Supreme Court decisions, homeschools here are considered private schools and are entitled to the same rights as other private schools.  The requirements are that you teach the same subjects as public schools (see links below) and that you teach in English.
