YESSSSSS!!!!!! dont let anyone tell you different if they weren't all good there wouldn't be 10 and the wouldn't be call "public ivy league schools" and all the campuses wouldn't be so crowded.....[merced is still new]

Yeah they are. They don't cost $26,000 a year for nothing! =) Most UC's are in the top 100 Best American Colleges in this order:

UC Berkeley- 21

UC LA- 25

UC San Diego- 38

UC Davis- 42

UC Santa Barbara- 44

UC Irvine- 45

UC Santa Cruz- 79

UC Riverside- 98

Yes the UC's are great colleges.  Apply to them.  UCLA and UC Berkely are great.  UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara andUCI are nice too.  UC riverside and Santa Cruz are newer and a little less developed.  My advice is to go the college with the major you want to study and with the most funding.  If you get into UCLA and UC berkely go.  UC San Diego is great too.  UCI is a good choice.  UCR and Santa Cruz have less majors so make sure you know what you are getting into.  Check out the campuses on a road trip and see where you fit in.  I know someone who got accepted to UCLA, Berkely and San Diego but wen to UC Riverside because of the biomed program andgot into medical school.  I know another who went to UC Santa Barbara and left because it was too much of a party school.  I know another who went to UCLA and became successful.

I also forgot UC San Francisco a top of the line graduate school.

Anywehre you go you have to work hard and do well.
