  1. Evolutionists will probably say no because they want to believe that dinosaurs dies out hundreds of years before man came into being and so to say that crocs and gators are comtempoary to man as dinos will not go well for them. Personally I would say that they probably are since the word Dinosaur means "terrible lizard" and gators and crocs are definitely reptiles which walk on legs like dinos were known to. Most dinos were smaller than a person and it is the giant ones that get most of the fame. Aso the Komodo Dragons of Indonesia would definitely be dinosaurs even if scientists would say no. They even have a flickering tounge like lizards. It is a popular notion today that birds are decendants of dinoaurs because there were dinos who walked on 2 legs as birds do. But that is weak evidence because them we would have to say that people are dinos too because they walk on two legs also. The truth is that many scientists are just guessing and hoping they are right.

  2. no i think alligators/crocodiles are not from the same family as the dinosaur...

  3. The crocodile family and the dinosaur family both evolved from archosaurs.  They are sort of like sister groups.  Crocodiles are not dinosaurs, but are more closely related to dinosaurs (that includes birds) than they are to lizards, snakes, or turtles.

That's right Ernesto.  You know better than the experts.  You obviously have spent much time studying fossils and know the dozens of distinctions that identify one family of animals from another.  Forget the people who spend their lives studying this stuff.  We'll just listen to your arrogant self proclaimed mastery of natural history.

  4. i would go with the first answer.  At some point in time they shared a common ancestor, but taxonomicaly they are in distinct clades.  Modern crocs and alligators ancestors appeared at the same time as dinosaurs

  5. no.. they lived along side dinosaurs and share a common ancestor.. but are not descended from dinosaurs
