Are bell peepers spicy?

Question

My friend and I are starting a webshow and she bought a bell pepper for us so we can eat it while taping the webshow. I know it sounds stupid but it's just to get people's attention and give them something to laugh at. Anyway, I keep hearing that they're not even spicy. So are they spicy or not? What is the spiciest type of pepper that I could get at like Safeway or something? Thanks!

nope they're not..still good in everything though. Try a jalapeno pepper that's spicy. Make sure you wear gloves and remove the seeds before cooking!!! (The seeds hold alot of heat!)

Bell peppers are not spicy at all. In fact, they are sweet. The different colors (green, red, orange, yellow) all have a little different taste than each other, but are all very delicious! Enjoy!

No. Bell peppers aren't spicy at all- they are mellow and sweet.

Habaneros and jalapenos  are very spicy, and they are easily available in almost all grocery stores.

If you want to burn the sh^^ out of your mouth--try a Scotch Bonnet. They're from Jamaica and you will never go near a pepper again. Certain chili peppers are also hotter than h**l--here's a clue:

The smaller they are, the hotter they are.

where do you live?.i do not think safeway,try a mexican store andlook for habaneros...or any green chile.or asian stores have very very hot red sauces...

bell peppers are not spicy.  if safeway doesn't have a habenero, try any kind of chili pepper.    in general, the smaller the pepper, the spicier it is.

bell peppers are not even spicy.  green are juciy and red peppers are sweet.  the hottest pepper that you can buy at a store is jalepeno and the hottest you can grow that I kown of is habenaro.

Nope. Bell Pepper are not spicy at all In fact some of them a kinda sweet. Look for the smallest pepper you can find and usually it will be the hottest.
