  1. Birds r not reptiles as they fly n dont crawl like reptiles. But their origin lies in reptiles.

  2. Among other reasons, birds are warm-blooded.

  3. Even though, evolutionary evidences point out to the fact that birds and reptiles are closely linked, we cannot say that both reptiles and birds are the same now. They occupy different taxonomic categories with a lot of different characteristic features like body temperatures, exoskeleton, embryonic development, etc.

  4. Birds are not reptiles. They are warm blooded while reptiles are not. But they were believed to once be. But have just evolved. Scientists say that birds are one of the only animals that are still close relatives of the dinosaurs. They have ancient genes that the dinosaurs had but they are just...... lost. So scientists have been taking eggs of birds and trying to trigger those anceint genes into working. They have been able to make mutants. Chickens with teeth like crocodiles or a longer spine (Like dinosaurs and their long tails....). Have you ever noticed how some birds (Expecially chickens) have scaly feet? Isn't scales what dinosaurs had? So I guess in a way they are connected to the reptile family. Because they have ancient genes of the dinosaurs and aren't dinosaurs reptiles?

  5. no birds dont belong to reptile family

  6. as suggested by their names, birds are not reptiles-they are birds.

different from reptiles, birds do have beaks and feather..and most of them are able to fly.

reptiles,on the other hand, have scales and are often cold-blooded animals compared to birds that are warm-blooded.

both of them may hatch young from eggs but there are other species of snakes that give birth to live young.

the first known bird was the archaeopteryx..which was considered a bird because it had feathers and beak.

  7. In addition..birds are covered with feathers..reptiles are covered with scales.

  8. No - Reptiles are animals with dry scales that protect their bodies. Snakes, turtles and lizards are reptiles.

Unlike mammals Reptiles are air-breathing, cold blooded vertebrates that have skin covered in scales.

With a few exceptions, all mammals and birds are warm-blooded, and all reptiles, insects, arachnids, amphibians and fish are cold-blooded. What does it mean to be warm-blooded or cold-blooded? The temperature of an animal's blood is related to its body temperature.
