Are chinchillas a rodent?

Speaking of chinchillas, I'd like to know if rabbits are a rodent too. Thanks!

Chinchillas are rodents. Rabbits used to be classified as members of the order Rodentia, but were reclassified in 1912. You'll often hear people say rabbits are rodents, but it isn't true.
