Are eggs considered meat??

my dumb blonde friend says that eggs are meat, is this true?

well, it depends.  Eggs are a protein and are thus put with meats on the food pyramid.

For a vegetarian diet, eggs are not considered a meat (most of the time)

In a Vegan diet, they are considered as a meat.

Eggs (if fertilized and incubated) grow into an animal and thus into a meat.

So it all depends on how you look at it.
