You know how there should be a white part and a pink part, just like in our nails. Well two of my dog's claws have a white part and then a dark purple-black part. What gives?

  1. it might be markings like if the dog was black and white the colur can sometimes be on the nail. its just the way it grows. i might not be right but if your not sure u could get it checked up on or do more research

  2. Perfectly normal!  The color of the nail depends upon the color of the skin and hair coat.  I've seen dog's toenails that are solid white, solid black, and half-and-half.

  3. Nothing is wrong. It depends on how the dog's skin and/or coat looks like. If it is dark, then it will have dark purple, but if it is light, it will be pink
