  1. depending on where you get them, they do tend to hurt just a bit but they are totally worth it. i got my first tat on my lower back and was expecting horrible pain but it really wasnt bad at all. when he first started it was a shock but after a few mins it dulled away and became more of an annoying feeling. its over before you know it. everyone is different of course, just try not to think of it too much. mind over matter to me...

  2. Depends Purely On The Area Your Getting It Done In & Your Personal Pain Threshold.

& If It Is Painful... Then Yes. They Are Worth Getting Done.

    =)

  3. they are definitely worth it!

the feeling of having them done depends on location and personal pain tolerance. i have 3, and only 1 hurt at all, it is on my foot. the other 2 on my back felt like being drawn on with a pen. the one that did hurt felt sort of like stinging, but wasn't anything unbearable. and while the needle going in & out hurt, the vibration of the needle gun sent kind of 'ripples' through my skin and felt rather soothing. and once you see the finished product, you won't even think about the pain!

if you love the design, you can trust that even if it hurts it will be well worth the short time spent to have something beautiful on your skin.

  4. I wouldn't know what it feels like to get one done, but I have strongly considered getting one and weighed the options and decided not to. I thought about what if I was going to a ball of some kind how would it look?, or one day if i were to get married would the dress cover it up? or even would it look professional? For a female especially i think its something you should give a lot of thought

  5. Its not really alot of pain, its kind of like a scratching sensation. LIke sandpaper. And it doesnt REALLY hurt, its more just irritating, like an itch you realllly wanna scratch.

I had one on my foot which appearently one of the most painful places, and it really wasnt that bad. Plus you have no memory of the feeling of pain, only the thought of pain. I mean, i bit my finger to distract myself from the pain, it isn't super fun while you're getting it but its not unbearable. Anyone who has one will tell you the pain wont stop you from doing it again. I know the pain wouldn't stop me from gettng another one.

So yes, it is totally worth it as long as you get something you arent going to regret later, or something that is just a fad, like those people who get band names on them, or cartoon characters or something.... Imagine all the people right now that are like "I LOVE JONAS BROTHERS! I"LL LOVE THEM FOREVER!" andthey go and get Mrs. Jonas tattoooed on them and they'll regret in 6 mos. Just get something neutral. Your back, even though its considered a "tramp stamp" is easy to cover up and hide, doesnt typically stretch much...

So i'd go for it, don't let the pain stop you!

  6. I'm a total wimp when it comes to pain and my tattoos hurt like h**l but I still love them and want more.

However, I think the answerer above - Secretlyfe - who weighed up the pros and cons and decided against, talks a lot of sense. Some tattoos look horrible with ball gowns and wedding dresses, others look terrible with age, so it's not a step to take lightly.

  7. they're SOOOOO worth it!

and the pain isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be! it's like rubbing sand paper quite hard on your skin! a kind-of scratching burning sensation!

  8. Alot of people actually enjoy the sensation of getting tattoos.  But I agree, it really depends on the area of the body you would be getting it.  regardless, totally worth it!

  9. Mine hurt, but it's on my spine so that is to be expected. Overall the pain didn't last very long and I love my tattoo.
