  1. their not rebuilding as long a they keep iverson and carmelo. if they get rid of 1 of them then i would say yes. but i wouldnt say they are rebuilding with two all stars like that. with those 2 they always got a chance to win.

  2. yeah i think they are going to trade iverson or just let him go away nuggets are a mess rite now

  3. yeah, the nuggets aren't stupid, they made the camby trade to clear up salary capacity,in order to hire another superstar

  4. they are really going to suck next season & probably won't even make the playoffs since they got rid of Marcus camby and edwardo naraja

  5. camby had 20 million left on his contract. The nuggets did not want to pay him all that money.

  6. Yep, Iverson walks next year, saving 20 mil on top of the 10 mil they just saved w/ trading camby.  Then Atkins will walk w/ Iverson, leaving them ALOT of money to spend in the 2010 F.A. Class, which consists of Wade, Bosch, Amare Stoudemire, LeBron, Ect.  then the year after that, K-Mart wil walk, and w/ his 15 mil a year gone, they have another oppertunity to get a PG in the 2011 F.A Class.

  7. They have a ridiculously high payroll and they are not doing that great. By getting rid of Camby, they save 20 million dollars, as his ten million dollar salary is off the books, and since they were over the luxury tax it amounts to 20 million dollars. They are more likely retooling, not rebuilding, as this team does not work well together.

  8. It is too early to say they are rebuilding, but it sounds more likely that AI won't be staying in Denver for a long time. At the time when you have a payroll close to Knicks and cannot win a champ, you have to cut cost fast.

I think Nuggets will remain in a shopping mode before the season, seeking for quick-fix at a cheaper price - actually they somehow copy what Nets has been doing in last 12 months.

Let's see if there would be any surprise.

  9. Yes. I think they created cap space for the 2010 season when all those guys are gonna be free agents.

  10. Nuggets are not doing well lately. If they let Iverson go, it would really show that they are starting to rebuild. It was already a huge loss in trading away Camby. Don't look for the Nuggets to be in contention next year.

  11. I think they were pushing up against the luxury tax and they needed to unload some salary.  Camby was probably the easiest of the big contracts to unload.

I think they realize now that the Iverson, Melo super duo experiment is not going create playoff success.  I wouldn't say they are rebulilding, probably more of a restructuring.  They have some good young talent in Melo, Smith, and Kleiza.

I think Iverson and his salary is going to be a burden.  He's exciting to watch and he fills some seats, but that money could be better spent.  The 1st rd sweep v the Lakers was an eye opener.  That team basically rolled over, and gave up.  It's time to retool and give up on the Iverson experiment.

  12. wouldnt say they are fully rebuilding but they new the trio of camby-ai-melo wasnt gonna work out so they are gonna slowly clear space so they can create a nucleus  around their young players.

  13. Yep NUggets defiently and maybe even secretly trying to rebuild.  I can see them trading Iverson during the season and yea they have Camby go for free and they have let Najera go too.  See a lotta action from Linas Kleiza next year.
