Are the Yankees done?

The best shot at beating the Angels was today. Will the Yanks fall 8 games behind the Rays after this weekend? Are their hopes for an offseason fading?

Done? Cause of a aloss to Angels? Last week they lost first 2 of 4 to Angels, didnt fade. I really dont think they hold much sight onto topping their division. More so I think their eyes are focused on Boston, and even Minny for Wild Card slot. Cant expect to sweep Angels at any point, and if you dont get lucky trying to do so, cant say your team is dead either, and "out of it". Not The Yankees.

Unless the Yankees are mathematically eliminated from the play off contention, they can't be counted out even if the haters won't accept it.  The chances seem to get a little less likely each game but I wouldn't overlook them down the stretch & since they are only 3 games behind for the wild card spot & still enough games to make up the difference, I have faith in the Yankees to reach the post season but difficult for them & even Rays or Red Sox to beat the Angels in the play offs

The best shot was winning today with Kennedy? No way. The Yanks were even last week with them. Angels are beatable.

The Yanks do have games left vs Rays and Boston(recall the wildcared race????)

The Yankees can still make the Wild Card they are only 3 games behind there with game against Boston and Minnesota still coming up!

In a word, no.

I'm a Yankees fan, but even a hater (and there's so many of you) has to admit that a playoff berth is still very much in play. They're only three games behind the Red Sox for the wild card and they're still within 6.5 of the Rays in early August.

So again, your answer is no.

Edit: I think you meant to say "postseason," not offseason. And if that's the case, every team has hopes for an offseason. But if it's postseason, the Yanks are very much alive still. Sorry to disappoint you.

its august 9th, they were in the same spot last year. They have had to face the MLB's best team twice in a week, thats not very easy.
