Are there decal papers for clothing?

i've seen them for printing decals for walls or model cars, but not for clothing

do they even exist already for use of general public instead of just major factories or stores?

  1. The iron on transfers (which require heat) that come preprinted with images already on them (you can usually buy those at craft stores in the t-shirt decorating areas), or the ones you buy blank to print your own images on (fabric stores, craft stores, even some office supply stores), are the only "decal papers" I know of that are used on fabric.

    There are other kinds of preprinted or blank "water-slide" decals though which don't require heat, but not sure if they can be attached to clothing... perhaps with "textile medium" though.  

    There are certain ways the iron-on ones need to be applied though, and certain preparations you'll need to do, to make them stay on well though (for example, the fabric should be pre-washed to remove all sizing and no fabric softener should be used, and the finished transfer shouldn't be washed for at least a week, there should be a *hard* surface underneath when pressing on the transfer, etc, etc.).
