Question:

Are white bathroom rugs impractical?

I bought white bathroom rugs for my new bathroom because I figure it will go with everything and they were on sale very cheap. So... are they going to get really dirty and nasty? I figure... when you get out of the shower your feet are clean so why would they be dirty? People don't wear their shoes in the bathroom...

  1. We have a yellow rug in our bathroom - it shows dirt A LOT.  It's in front of the toilet, too, so our feet touch it .  You could wash them in the washing machine every week.

  2. yes they are. people are going to walk all over them and they are not going to be nice and clean for long. they look great in mags, because they're not really being used. if u live alone, then they aren't so impractical imo. if you have 2 kids, a bf, and a dog, well.....I dislike bathroom rugs anyway, especially the "sets" they sell they did a show one time and showed all the nasty dirt and germs that collect on those things. gross! I just use a towel by the shower - no rugs.

  3. It depends, if thier just for decoration, then no.

But there is a chance they will get dirty.

So if you dont want to take that chance, return them

Unless of course theyre easy to wash. Then it dosnt matter

  4. i have white bath mats.  mine don't have the rubber on the back though, like yours might.  mine don't get super dirty and i just wash them regular like i would anything else.  i don't see that you would have much of a problem.

  5. They will probably get dirty very easily. The trick is to use the rug as an accent. Another color that matches with the shower curtain or sink counter can be a good color for a rug.
