Are white boxing gloves for women?

i got a pair of whites, but i bro has blacks. he doesnt have a preference but i think white might be too girly

No, it doesn't make you look girly. I've seen fighters in all sort of glove colors and "girly" was far from my mind. Personally, I've been trying to find a good pair of white gloves. I like the look of it

Nobody looks too girly when they step into a ring.

Even the the cross-dressing Oscar De La Hoya looks like a man when he is in the ring.

The preferred colors for boxing gloves are red and blue, there are other colors, but they are not as common.

Amatuer and olympic gloves are uniform (they all look the same) and have white tips.  It makes it easier for judges to score the fights.
