Are you giving up your SUV?

The media is wacko. Hope you can analyze for yourself. Right now I pay $1/gal more than a year ago. I have a Honda Pilot. That means I pay $16/tank more on average .. or $64/month (tank a week) more. Do you really think I cannot afford $64 more/month with a $30,000 vehicle? Who are they kidding? Give it a rest. But, I know gas affects other things too. But if you manage your life and finances right it is no big deal. Frankly .. my budget this year is the same as last years. Sort of like Southwest Airlines versus the other airlines .. Southwest always makes money . even this year. Why? Because they manage things right. So, I am not giving up my SUV .. no way. Are you?

I do not have an SUV but want a Jeep. I do not pay for gas and have not for the past 6 years at least. I do not have any bills except cigarettes and going out. My father runs a company in the oil field. The higher the price of gas, the greater the stability of his, my brother and all of my uncles jobs, all in the oil field. No one in my family pays for gas but I would still like a hybrid or fuel cell vehicle for environmental reasons. I do feel bad for the average American struggling with these gas prices though.

I drive a Chevy Blazer 2003 and NO....I'm not going to give mine up. I make sure that I maintain my SUV with the daily maintence. I only have to work 3 days per week ....and my job is 17 miles away going each way.

But I also children and having a SUV make is easy for me. But like you said if you manage things right ...you can make it work the best possible.

I have a Truck , an No way will I give up my Truck. I'll pay more in gas , thats fine, But No way will i give up my Truck.
