it was last night i figured this out so im not 100% sure on the player or team.

did it actually happen?

but i think it was the Winnipeg Jets traded Kris Draper for $1

it might not be Kris Draper, i might just have the Stanley cup fever.. but i think it was a redwings player.

this is coming after a minor baseball team traded a player for 10 wooden bats.

  1. That's exactly what happened. I'll bet you that if the Jets were still around, the organization would have had severe regrets for that foolish trade. LOL!

P.S. Haven't heard from you in a while.

  2. You would be right it was him.  He wasn't seen as having much future in the league from something I read..

At the time it was a 1.40 Canadian after the conversion haha

I guess it really was the wings system that allowed for him to grow and develop into a defensive first player that his true value was seen.  I mean could u see him being expected to score on a regular bases then no he isn't going to pan out on a team.  The wings said don't worry about scoring just shut down the other teams top line and he excelled.

could u see him in Phx with that fair skin... he would have the worse sunburns ever all the time. be the first player on the IR due to sunburns

  3. Best $1 the Redwings ever invested.

  4. LOL

Oh and as for that baseball player I feel bad for him. Talk about a blow to the ego.

  5. You are completely correct. The Red Wings purchased Draper for $1.00 in the mid 90's (cant remember exact year). I guess that was a well spent buck...and to think I just gave a buck for a candy bar...I could have gotten so much more!!

  6. Lol the Jets entire organization was a joke, why wouldn't their trades be the same.
