Area code question?

I live in Houston where the area codes are 713,281, and 832. If i get a 325 number, which is in the state of Texas as well, if people in Houston were to call it would it be categorized as a long distance call?

That depends on the rules that their phone service provider has made for their service.

Around here the phone companies that offered free local calls said that area code 413 in the western part of the state was long distance for people in the eastern part. Then when competition for customers got tougher they changed the rules so that it became local too.

Check in the front of your local telephone directory White Pages phone book.

The phone company always outlines in the White Pages which area codes are considered local and toll-free calls.  Anything else will be considered long distance.
