Unfortunately having to work for a living is limiting our travel itinery to 3 weeks.

What highlights would you take in (Machu Picchu is a must)? Whats the best way of traveling in these countries (we are not on a tight budget)?

  1. If I were to go back to Argentina, Iguazu is the must-see. It's the waterfall on the border where Brazil/Argentina/Paraguay come together. Experience of a lifetime.

  2. Only done Peru out of these countries. Yes Macchu Picchu is a must but just do the 2 day 1 night trek. Also Nazca Lines are amazing!

Chan Chan in Trujillo is also worth a look as is Arequipa.

  3. i am so jealous. do you need anyone to carry your bag?

  4. The Iguazu Falls are really something - massive waterfalls on the Argentina/Brazil/Paraguay border with national park around them. To make the most of your three weeks, you'd need to fly to most of your main destinations.

  5. Mm..I'm from Cusco, I never heard of the 2 day 1 night package..if it exists , seems fun to get it cause normaly you use 4days to do the trek and you are going to 3 places in 3 weeks so probably is not worth it, however the sensation of seeing machupicchu is way different when you arrive from a trek than when you just enter through the normal entrance for tourists .. 3 wkees is perfect to see a good part of things taking your time ; are u planning a week in each country??... I just know Buenos Aires, Bariloche and my country. I like Buenos Aires  but is mostly like a big city , all spread over..so you won't get much touch with nature and stuff.. my friend did skydiving and handgliding there..are you that kind of person?.

Try also to go for a plane for long trips is cool to go in a bus when you are making a short trip 5 or 6 hours even ; but you'll feel frustrated if you take longer than that :) .

If you are coming to Cusco to see machupicchu , you must do the sacred valley stuff.. in la plaza de Armas there are lots of tourists agencies, its better if you get the tourist ticket and hire the bus from an agency.. people usually do horse ridding to saksayhuaman, but then you'll end up spending half of day in that ruin when there are plenty others to visit, distances are not far inside the city so it's nicer if you just walk around the city is not in a square shape so you'll end up discovering nice places just by wandering..oh, don't spend time in Lima , is too crowded and too much contamination, Arequipa is a quiet place and all those monasteries and being next to the misti vulcan..well is kind of other sensation. Never been in the north of Peru, and not much to say about Santiago , Iguazu impress people a lot .. bon, I wish you nice vacances.

    GOOD LUCK :)
