Question:

Army Intel Analyst & GEDs?

I have a GED. I know some MOS' won't accept GEDs. I was wondering if the Army Intelligence Analyst MOS does or not. If my ASVAB score is exceptionally good, would that increase my chances or will I not be able to get the rate at all?

  1. Your ASVAB scores should be all that matter. If your going for Intel Analyst with out Ling. training your GT scores need to be high. I was in for 10 years before I got out to support my husband and his deployments, and loved my job and training. Good Luck

  2. Your best bet is to call your recruiter.  S/he will know which MOSes accept the GED.

For your sake, I hope so.  Intel Analyst is a great job and I can't imagine why a GED would matter.  You've learned the same stuff as any regular high school graduate.  And with your ASVAB score, I'll be pissed for you if you're not eligible.

    Good luck to you,
