  1. You would be considered as an O-1E.  That means you served as an enlisted soldier for at least 4 years.  If you become an officer and have 6 years in the active service, then you will receive the pay for an O-1E at the 6yr rate.

    Difference btwn O-1 and O-1E:

O-1 is a new commissioned officer joining the military from a 4yr college ROTC program or military academy like Westpoint.

O-1E is a new commissioned officer that has been an enlisted soldier (E1-E9) or a warrent officer for at least 4yrs minimum.  The amount of pay is slightly higher, although the rank is still the same.

Refer to the link below.  You will be looking at the O-1 with the #3 beside it.  Read Note 3.

  2. you'd be O1E and you can view their pay by googling military pay chart.

  3. confusing question.

If you become an officer then you start off(No matter how high of an Enlisted ranking you were) at an O-1. You then move up according to how well you progress in your new career as an Army officer. The average officer in the Military at an O-1 ranking makes around $2,200 or more a month. Plus free insurance, benefits, etc and Housing allowance, etc.

    Good luck to you.

  4. Pay is calculated by time in service, time in grade.
