Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joel-Campbell-c18716 has gone on to confirm that he will be spending the coming season on loan with Spanish La Liga side Real Betis.
It was believed that Campbell would make his return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 this coming season, following a season that he spent on loan with Lorient. However, it seems like Arsene Wenger has decided to let the player go out for another season and develop even further as a player.
In order to do so, they have secured a deal with Real Betis, that will see the player play for the Spanish side this coming term.
When talking about his move to Betis, the youngster is quoted to have said: “It's a great opportunity for me to grow"
"I am going to the world's best league, and I want to play."
The North London club initially signed the player last season from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Deportivo-Saprissa-c38930. The Costa Rican club were more than welcome to doing business with Arsenal and as a result, the move went on to be completed rather easily.
However, following his move to the club he failed to secure a work permit. This is one of the reasons for the team sending him out on loan to Lorient in the first place.
This time around, the North London club is overflowing with strikers and it would have been a waste to call the player back. Wenger has probably decided to let him spend another season away from the team, which would allow him to practice playing in Europe and would make it easier for him to fit into the first team at the Emirates.
At Lorient the striker managed to make an impressive twenty seven appearances for the club, as he managed to score four goals along the way, while picking up one assist.
The twenty year old has also managed to make fourteen appearances for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-c9458 Rican team, as he managed to score six goals for his country.
The way things are going, we can expect Campbell to come into Arsenal in the 2013-2014 season and make a name for himself in the first team.
It is now a wait to see just how the forward matures and develops as a player.
