Art Instruction school question(about cartooning)..

well, if ur gonna reply 2 this then i guess u know about this so they talk about cartooning and i want to ask... since its cartooning, if you ask to be thought about drawing in manga format will that be possible or what cuz i dont want to apply to draw in the american format.

  1. I just met with a representative from this program at Starbucks, he explained the program to me and I did sign up for the course. I think before you start doing manga, you need to learn the basics of drawing and then work up to manga. This school is a bit on the expensive side. Its $130/month for 24 lessons I believe.

    But it seems to be decent, they do take themselves seriously. I did check them out on wikipedia and they do seem legitimate. If you really want to try it then go ahead, but I think it would be cheaper if you took a class at your local high school or community college. A community college would charge you about $200-300 for a semester course.

    I need this program to be done through correspondence, because I'm already taking general courses at the local community college, I'm trying to complete an associate in general studies degree and I need to do this drawing program on my own time. It depends what your needs and wants are in regards to drawing, for me this is a good decision.

    EDIT: btw, you don't have to do cartoons if you don't want to, you can do realistic art and other types of art. I'm not into cartoons either.
