at school i need to do some art work about metephor and im not sure what to do........ any type of art from drawing to collage to paint and anyhting at all please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does the word metaphor mean? It has to do with change.

The word is generally applied to literature. You check with your own computer. A change then is saying something and likening it to something else.

Here is an idea for you to try out.  Picture some brush country,

land covered with low level bushes, and put a paint brush over top of that  along with a hair brush. Try having blue bushes. Deep grayand orange brushes. Light grey mottled background with leaf decoration.

Titian did this with his seated portrait of Charles V. Look it up on the internet. Can you print it out. Do so.  Now look at it anamorphically along from where his hand holds the glove along the arm of the chair. That glove along with the fringe of the armrest changes into a clothes brush. Look at the emperor and see how spotless his pure black outfit is. No wonder, he carries a clothes brush to keep himself spick and spam. Not really. He had servants to do that. But it was a direct insult to his imperial majesty to be so portrayed, not that he ever

knew.  But a story exists that the emperor himself stooped to pick up a brush which Titian dropped while he was painting Charles' portrait. This shocked the court, supposedly. Actually, I think somebody had learned this little secret I let you in on and Titian had to do something to prevent the emperor from taking it seriously. That story was invented by him to counteract the real one.

You can do your own impression of that part of Titian's painting. Hold your brush not as if you have a writing pen but a dagger, bristles uppermost. Don't even try and do neat,fine lines. Jab your paints onto your support. As rough as you can.

This is your impression and you are not being a copyist. See if you can get it finished in ten minutes. Better still, five.
