  2. Aseptic means "without infection" Not without all bacteria, good and bad, like sterile does. Sterile and aseptic are two diffrent things.

      

    Washing your hands for atleast 30 seconds makes you aseptic  but to be considered "sterile" youd have to wash for 10 minutes.

  3. Aseptic basically means - sterile. So to use an aseptic technique means to work in a very clean environment where desks and instruments have been cleaned down with alcohol (and in ultra-clean areas also have been sterilised with UV light).  Often in microbiology when working, a bunsen burner is turned on to create a convection current to draw air away from the area of work so that no microbes from you or in the air can contaminate the experiment. Metal instruments can also be flamed (ie put into the flame until glowing) to be sterilised while working
