Assistance in updating my resume.?

I'm in the process of updating my resume. I have currently been a home maker taking care of my daughter for the last 2 years. Can anyone tell me where I update that into my resume? Can it just be typed into the cover letter letting them know why I have been out of work for 2 years or should I also place it into the actual resume (job history?) This is a professional resume so I want to make sure it is done the correct way. Thank you for your help.

  1. lie

  2. I would not disclose the fact on your resume. I would however add it to each cover letter to explain the gap in employment.

  3. I used this resume writing service in my area, this is the email address, (resume.help50@yahoo.com) you should try them, it only cost me $35.00 and I got a great job from this new resume, I never thought about the format that they use but the turn around time was less then 24 hrs.  I would have to say it was the best service I have ever used and it was worth every dime.  Also they let me pay through paypal.

  4. you don't need to say all that in your resume.. taking care of your daughter isn't a job.. it's a civil obligation. You only need to update the number of people in your household and update the household income if your country gives some kind of payment for you having a child.

I hope my answer helped you

  5. You should mention it in the cover letter. Such as "I am looking to get back into the work force after taking leave to raise my daughter."
