I was reading about types of astigmatism based on focus of the principal meridians. It mentions the following on wikipedia:*Simple hyperopic astigmatism – first focal line coincides with the retina while the second is located behind the retina*Simple myopic astigmatism – first focal line is located in front of the retina while the second focal line is located on the retina*Compound hyperopic astigmatism – both focal lines are located behind the retina*Compound myopic astigmatism – both focal lines are located in front of the retina*Mixed astigmatism – focal lines are on both sides of the retinaCan you tell from an eyeglass prescription what kind of astigmatism you have? Here are three prescriptions as examples. What kind of astigmatism are these and why? I haven't had luck finding anything on this.Roommate's prescription is LE -2.50 -.75 X180 and RE -2.25 -1.25 X180.Dad's prescription is LE +2.50 -1.75 X80 RE +2.25 -1.25 X 90.My prescription is LE Plano -1.50 X50 RE Plano
