At&t crazy question ?

I have a gophone from at&t.

Could I buy a plan (regular) phone, quit the plan (within 30 days so I don't have to pay the cancellation fee) and keep the phone with out paying any extra money for keeping the phone (Would you have to pay extra money to quit the phone? Then I would transfer sim cards.

Would that work?

You have to return the phone when you cancel, you will not be able to keep it.  You should try ebay if you want to buy a different phone.
