At what age should a child....

be potty trained thru the night? My daughter is 4 1/2 and stays dry all day, but still sleeps in a Goodnight.

I wet the bed untill about 5th grade so don't worry its not medical. Plus she is still really young. Try to not give too many drinks before bed, and have her go as soon as she gets up.

each child is different, have you tried putting her underwear at night so she can get used to it and let her know not to wet her underwear, my daughter got potty trained a month before she turned two,she wears underwear at night and does not wet the bed at all!

its ok, every child is different--take her to the potty right before bed and try cutting off liquids about 2 hrs before bedtime

My daughters are also 4 1/2 years old, and have been dry through the night for maybe a year or a little less. Though I do take them to the bathroom around midnight when I go to bed. I say if she is dry through the night she probably doesn't need a pull up.

Have you tried biting the bullet and put her in underwear at night? Even if she's wetting the bed every day for a week, at least try it for a few days?

My daughter was 3 1/2 when we stopped using pull-ups at night.

My son is 31 now...he wet the bed for 19 yrs...as it turns out..my chiropractor said it was an alignment issue with his spine putting pressure on his kidneys...was your child delivered vaginally? because that will pull their spine out of alignment...you should give it a try...hope this helps you....:0)

When her body is ready/able.  This isn't something you can teach.  Most kids are dry at night by 6-7 years, and night wetting isnt' considered a medical issue until that point.

My daughter is the same age and in the same situation.  We've been telling her that starting on her 5th birthday, she's going to wear big girl underpants at night...and she seems okay with that.

How wet is her diaper every morning?  If she's staying dry some nights, she's already on her way.

I don't know? Maybe take her to the Dr? My son was 3 when he potty trained and had like 2 accidents at night in the very beginning but has been dry ever since...maybe don't give her anything to drink after 6 or 7...see if that works?

I think about 4. That's my own personal experience though. Some parents think otherwise.
