Hi im a 14 year old guy, and im training for boxing at a gym. and As a boxer I work out in multiple different areas such as stamina, strength, endurance, speed, and flexibility. I believe i have overtrained the last 2 weeks. I realized the bad side of overtraining and the fatigue so i slowed down slightlty, but fatigue was still lingering, so this week i rested for a full 7 days, this being the 7th day. Now i am about to begin going to the gym agAIN, however when i think about going to the gym, I feel tired exactly at 5 PM, when i usually go to the gym. Im pumped up at all other times of the day. And also, whenever I want to go running, the second i step on the track i feel like **** and feel like going home. I believe its all mental but i cant help it. how can i prevent getting sudden energy drops during the day (because i want to have maximum energy at the gym so i can work out fully) Thank u in advance.

  1. you may not be eating enough or the right foods. your diet can significantly inpact your stamina. for some information of diet and fitness go to crossfit.com

as for over-training you need o have at least 1 rest day a week and maybe even 2 depending on the person

  2. one think that i do for my workouts is always stay a little active but not to active especially during the summer. wht i mean is dont be laying around all day trying to save ur energy. be up and moving aroung because its like when u watch a movie or sumthing u would think that u would be well rested but instead ur really tired and dont feel like moving especially running. also stay really hydrated, gatorade!!

  3. In addition to what "Joe" advised also watch what you are eating, you may be crashing from what ever it is your eating. Try eating a Yogurt about 1/2 hour before you head to the gym. DO NOT take any kind of energy drink, just water. I hope that these things work for you, Good Luck.
