  1. The High Museum, is good for all ages to learn about real art. The new "World of Coke" is a good place for kids, and across the way the Georgia Aquarium.

  2. Fernbank is most excellent from kids to adults, right off 85 down town.

  3. have you ever thought about going to the CNN mall

  4. I hear the snack bar is overpriced.

  5. Take them to the Aquarium instead. You and your children will enjoy it more.

With that said, there is a children’s museum at the Fernank.

  6. If you're looking for museums that are good to take children to, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History is pretty good.  I think they have a hands-on exhibit for children there.

The High Museum of Art has an entire floor on the lower level dedicated to children.  I remember going there in Kindergarten.  Two things I can remeber was stepping into a giant eyeball, and looking out through the pupil, and into a room that was lit either with a light green or dark blue light, and when you leaned against the wall long enough, it left an impression of your shadow.

The Fernbank Planetarium often does programs for children.

The Atlanta Center Of Puppetry Arts often does shows specifically for children.

  7. Are you asking about Children's Museum of Atlanta?  It is downtown across from the new World of Coke and near the Georgia Aquarium.   It is a hands-on museum for children up through the age of 8.
