Auto fare?

Question

I'll be coming to Chennai around 6am - Kodambakkam bus stand. I need to go to Santhome, near the lighthouse. Could someone tell me which is the best mode of transport and if an auto is feasible ( what is the apprx cost for auto b/w Kodambakkam and Santhome? Is it safe? Are there prepaid auto stands near Kodambakkam bus stand?)

  just take auto to vadapalani which is near to from kodambakkam ..you will lot of share auto cost around 5 to 10 or ordinary auto cost around 30 .then take dirct bus to santhome 12B

as you going short distance instead going long distance its safe traveling by auto...

The fare depends upon your bargain capacity.  It will be around Rs. 100/- only

Santhome is quite a familar place to me as I go daily till Santhome Church.  As far as I know, you dont have a direct pre-paid auto facility from Kodambakkam.  May be you will get till Valluvarkottam and then have to change once again.

However auto would easily cost you about 100 to 120.  However will the rising fuel cost and demand, autos would demand more.
