I can't decide! I love both (considering all the aspects) but which one would you be apt to have/attend?

Keep in mind the decorations :)

  1. I'm having a winter wedding several days after Christmas.  Since my dress is burgundy and gold, it will work with all the Christmas decorations no matter which of the 2 venues I pick.

I always wanted a winter wedding.  I'm making a tudor style dress, which is so much more comfortable worn in December than in July.

If you want a lot of attendees Autumn or after mid-January would be your best bets.   We originally planned a mid-January wedding, but moved it up to accommodate members of his family who were traveling here for the holidays already.

  2. I think your best bet to help you decide is to start thinking about what you want at your wedding or where you want to have it.  Pick colours you like and see what season they seem to fit best with.  Start calling venues you like and finding out the price and if they very for different months.  Fall might be cheaper then winter becuase those venues might book up for Chirstmas parties and such.  Then think what time of year might be easier for people to attend.  If your in the US...then end of Novmeber through to end of Jan-Feb might be difficult because thanksgiving in in November, leading to Christmas which means people are lower on funds to attend weddings and such.  Something in October might be a good time as it is generally pretty empty or February might be nice to help break up the long, boring winter after the holidays are over.

  3. I would lean towards autumn due to the difficulties you could run into with winter weather and travel hazards for your guests and vendors.

NOW, if everyone is local, then I think winter would be fine because it is a slower season (usually) and you could probably get some deals.

  4. Definitely Autumn. :)

  5. I am like you I like both but love fall, the leaves, the colors are endless.

  6. Autumn, but not home coming weekend for my university!

Winter weddings can get messed up in an ice storm where I live.

  7. Hi.  It totally depends on where you live.  I live in upper Michigan.  Here the fall is simply beautiful!!  No where else do you get such beautiful colors.  Now, on the other hand.....our winters are long, snowy and severe.  I have been to winter weddings (only a few), but it is a pain (for a woman) as we have so much snow.

Perhaps where you live the winters are much more mild with little to no snow.  If so....then either one would be beautiful.

I would attend either!  I like both and you can do so much with the decorations for either one!

    Good luck with your decision.

  8. I got married in December and loved it. It was so easy to decorate, plus we saved a lot of money because of the decorations the church and reception hall already had out. I'm sure people would attend either one. Just don't pick a date too close to Christmas, and you'll be fine.

  9. I would like a winter wedding, probably because people don't seem to do that very much.  Decorations would be a breeze, because there is so much stuff out there during holidays!  Wait for after Christmas sales and you could save a fortune.

  10. I would attend the fall wedding because where I live its easy to be snowed in.  Also I volunteer at a non profit organization, and winter and Christmas is our busiest time of year.

  11. winter!

it seems as if you can find so much more to use for decorations, etc.

early december would be a perfect time and decorations for christmas are on sale starting in what, october? you will have many more options...when my date was set for december, i was going to have my bridesmaids in crimson with lots of silvery decorations all around and lots of lighting!

at my reception i was going to have mirrors and lots of candles, and 'crystals' scattered around

  12. This depends on where you live. but i would say Autumn.

  13. I would have to say autumn because its not to cold and its not to hot, plus it would be the perfect setting if you were to have an outside wedding.

  14. I'm having an autumn wedding. It's going to be easy to decorate because I can use pumpkins, gourds, and fall leaves. Plus autumn is my favorite season :)

  15. Depending on where you live would be a determining factor for me.  Since I live in Missouri, I wouldn't do a winter wedding because I don't trust the weather here, but if you live somewhere warm, then I would go for winter.  Places and decorations and stuff can be cheaper during the winter because it is a slow wedding time.

    Good luck!

  16. I'd be interested in attending a winter wedding.  I can just imagine crisp white with silver and blue!  I've never been to a winter wedding but I always liked the idea of one.

See which styles you like best though to determine the season.  Check out these links to Wedding Favors Store Online.  Take a look at the winter favors and the fall favors to see the differences.  You may just like the colors of a particular season much better!

I still vote for winter.  Do it!!

    Take care!
