Why hasn't BMW made podium in Barcelona and Turkey?

I was really looking forward to it.

  1. The Ferraris are quicker and they're reliable so they put both cars on the podium.

And Hamilton got the better of Kubica on both occasions.

He probably had a very slight advantage in Barcelona so turning first into the first corner of the race was all it took.

    In Turkey he was quicker.

I expect BMW to go faster, I also like Heidfeld a lot and hope he ups his game sometime soon.

  2. BMW's not doin bad at all...its just dat Ferrari and McLaren are a faster lot...although only by a fraction...

Kubica is doin great for a rookie...he's in his early stages as a driver & yet he's provin 2 be a championship material....hope they come back onto the podium in the next GP.

  3. well, maybe you could reverse the question, and ask why it was on the podium earlier. it is easy to understand after that....

  4. Their earlier points finishes capitalized on mistakes made at Ferrari and McLaren, so the form you see from BMW at Spain and Turkey is more indicative of what their true pace is. There is no doubt that they are the third strongest team at the moment, but it would require for two of the top four drivers to have a bad race or drop out for BMW to find podiums at the moment.

Also in Australia, Malaysia and Bahrain Kubica was very light on fuel for qualifying, which is why he had good initial position but was not able to maintain it during the race. Kubica has also had problems with his starts, while Heidfeld has had problems with his qualifying form.
