I would highly appreciate if someone could help me to deal with wireless router BR6204WG problem. Previously I had Lenovo T60 notebook with XP and I had no problem with my router. Since I changed my notebook to T61 that has Vista OS I cannot connect to the Internet via wireless only when the laptop is wired with router via ethernet cable. I checked and tried everything(DHCP,IP configuration, I made connection unencripted, changing router's firm etc) no progress. My other PC having XP OS can connect but my notebook cannot. As per the result of ipconfig DHCP and autoconfiguration is enabled. . Somewhere I read that registry file should be patched.

Thanks in advance/

  1. Vista has some issues connecting to routers that are using WEP security. If you login into the router (when the laptop is attached via ethernet) and change the security to the WPA, you'll be able to login into the network on your Vista computer.
