BUYING AN IPOD IN AMERICA???

i am thinking about buying an ipod in America, but i'm not sure whether i will be able to charge it in england. will i need to buy a special charger or will it still be able to charge as normal through usb?

  1. the ipod ate the same using a standard USB connection to charge them and they are the same worldwide.

    the only issue you will face is warranty, if you buy in the US you will get an US warranty which is 90 days and must be returned to apple in the US. the UK warranty is a year and the store in the UK or apple manage the service.  This means if you buy it and it goes wrong you may not be able to get a warranty service/repair.

    The only exception(s) to this is when you buy from the airport Duty free shops they will provide a worldwide/International Warranty which is either one or 2 years and can be sent back to any apple store or sales office but this warranty is often sold extra.

    NO I am not talking about Applecare which is a different product which you can buy (anywhere up to a month after initial purchase) to overcome this issue.


  2. See if the usb slot on your computer matches the end of the charger cords. Look for the pics of the cord on google images, it should have some there.

  3. i don't see what difference it would make where you bought the ipod, won't it be the same?  the only thing you might have to worry about is if you buy a charger that plugs into the wall socket.
