Baby Advice Needed!?

Question

I found out I'm having a little boy in a few months but there's a problem. Not with the baby or the pregnancy, all that is fine. But I'm not very educated about guys. I have only ever had two boyfriends, both were long term but I still don't know much about raising a boy when I'm a girl. The father is out of the picture and I want to know if raising a boy is different to raising a girl? My brother offered to move from America to come help me but I said no because he is doing well there. So, any teen parents who are raising a child of the opposite gender, can you tell me if its hard? I know i'm probably worrying about nothing but...I just think i'm worrying abotu nothing. So please just be honest.

It's kind of funny that you are worried about raising a boy..I was worried I'd have a girl and wouldn't know what to do with her. I'm not a "girly" girl, and would rather climb trees than put on makeup (always have been this way) so I was so excited when we had a boy.

Even though your brother isn't near, I'm sure you can call him, or email, often to ask questions. Boys are way different than girls, but that doesn't mean you really do too much different. They are just inately different...more prone to rough and tumble stuff. Read a lot, ask your friends and family questions when you have them..but mostly-let love guide you!

I wondered the same thing when I found out I was having a boy. What am I going to do with this child! But you figure it out as you go along.

It is different from raising a girl. But my son is now 28 months old, and we adore each other.

I'm a teen mother.. although I'm married to the father so I do have him to help me but once you have him it really does just sort of come to you. Read a lot on the internet and in magazines and books and they usually teach you a little in the hospital. I don't know what all the have to offer where you live but sometimes you can take parenting classes. But mostly your maternal instincts will kick in and you'll know just what to do.

i dont think it would be too different but instead of dolls its cars lol and it would b aliitle differnt when it come to potty training if u know what i mean good luck

My cousin has 2 girls and 2 boys..she says the boys r better...less attitude, etc.  I was worried about having a boy, but it's pretty great...he has all the love he can stand.
