Baby Hamster?

Question

A few days ago my chinese hamster gave birth to four pups.

Three have already died, does anyone have some tips to keep the last one alive?

Take the male out. Use Bounty paper towels (the cloth-like kind) and put it in a corner of the cage. only 1 sheet though. Fold it into 4ths. Then, put it in there. This makes a nice bed for them. Feed her about 1/4 more of her food, so she won't be hungry all the time. The reason for this is because if she gets too hungry, she may eat the baby. The male always eats them!

Do not go peep at them when it give birth,U should use a cloth to cover the cage and do not make a lot of noise or distrub them.Take out the male one.when u put food inside for the hamster,make it very fast.Hope this help u to make ur baby hamster survive.IF u are still worry,u can go ask some pet shop owner =)

Don't worry. you haven't done anything wrong. sometimes baby hamsters in a litter die easily. the best way to keep them alive is  not to disturbe them, if you have'nt then it could just be that the others were sick or weak. make sure the male isn't in the cage and she has lots of bedding to keep her baby warm, if its her first litter she may not know what to do, therefor she doesn't know how to take good care of them. if she has another litter more of them are likely to survive. -you're welcome, i hope this helps!

Oh god I had a hamster and he was preggers and he gave birth to about 6 babies.  He then ate 4 of the 6 babies.  We had to keep an eye on him after that to make sure he wouldn't eat the last two.  Just make sure you keep an eye on him so he won't eat his youngs.

dont worry she will take care of it just dont touch the baby hamster till about 2 weeks
