Baby Map Turtle?

I have a baby map turtle he is about inch big how mch shouldi feed him and what? I tried the shrimp worms feeder fish and now trying lettuce just to see what he likes. he will eat them all but then looses interest the people at pet store told me he was too little tos tart trying pellets.

any advice on how to take care of him?

  1. Try not to listen to pet shop people unless you know they know what they are talking about.

    Try a diet of about 1/2 name brand pellets (try the Reptomin pellets for baby turtles and 1/2 live or frozen/thawed (not freeze-dried) 'fish foods' like blood worms or other worms, small insects, very small fish, shrimp, krill, beef heart, etc.

    Most baby turtles eat small pellets just fine.


  2. i have had baby turtles and it takes a while for them to get used to food... you may want to try with fish flakes, since they are soft and can be crushed so it is smaller and she will digest better. if you dos so, a pinch will do

  3. You can try taking a pellet, crushing it and soaking it in water so it gets soft.
