Baby rabbit question

Two weeks ago I found the dead body of an adult female rabbit and then following that I found two of her babies dead, but today I just found one of her babies still alive and healthy. I can't leave the baby outside because the mother is for sure dead. I have the baby right now in a cardboard box with blankets. I got some kitten milk, carrot leaves, and cabbage. What else can I do to ensure it will survive? I checked the phonenbook and Google, but there is no wildlife rehabilitators in my area.

  1. It was very sweet of you to shelter him until now.

Try www.rabbit.org it has a lot of information on rabbits, make sure to give him water in a bottle similar to the ones hamsters drink from. Assure he has good cold air where he is, rabbits can't stand for too much heat. He can nibble on the cardboard and make a hole, which is no very healthy and he can go off.

Without his mother's milk he might be in the danger of dying, so without that make sure he has everything else in perfect conditions, if you can, get him a cage with papertowel on it (they chew newspaper more than papertowels) until you can get hay or when your vet comes back.

  2. give it to the vet or it will not survive.i promise.

  3. Do you have a female cat or dog?  Because there have been so many baby animals adopted by female animals and if let the cat or dogbe with the baby bunny she will take the bunny in as her own.

    I hope it works.

just stay really close and watch the cats and bunny and if you think the cats are going to attack then get the bunny out of there atleast you know you tried.

then separate the male and the female and show the female cat the bunny

    Tell me how it goes...
