Baby situation?

hi me and my girlfriend was trying for a baby and today she watched a video about birth and its put her off and we realy planned a baby but now what can i do im not saying i dont agree with her its just i feel like all the planning we made has gone to waste what can i do ?

Talk to her, she is just scared...having a baby is a big step, but also an amazing step, if you sit her down and talk to her it will all work out....bes of luck

you know people get so scared of the birth process... its only one day of being a parent. Explain to her that most of the time child birth goes just fine. Sure it is uncomfortable, gross, sweaty, etc. but what you end up with is totally worth it.

After the mother heals she wont be thinking of all the bad things. Being a parents is worth the hours of labor.

Is she close to your family? Are you close to hers? Maybe she needs to ask some people about their expirences and she will realize that most people report that it was just fine and well worth it.

watching the video was Not a good idea, i'd feel the same way if i were in her place. maybe she just needs a little time to forget about what she saw.

Reassure her that EVERYTHING makes it look owrse than it is. If it were really that bad, NO ONE would have a baby. i went through that myself. Do not watch the videos.

neither of you sound ready for a baby, especially if you're fretting about all the planning going to waste.

here are a set of questions to consider:

are you out of high school?

do you both have good jobs?

do you have a safe, comfortable place to live (not with either of your parents)?

do you both have insurance?

do you both have transportation?

do you have access to healthcare?

are you both ready to give up your freedom and your independence for the next 18 years?

do you know about the developmental stages of children and age appropriate activities/food/discipline/education/toy...

if you answer no to any of those questions, you are not ready to start planning for a child.

r you  upset because she doesnt want to have a baby or because your planning to have one has gone to waste?  It sounds like you enjoyed planning for it more than actually wanting it. If the video grossed her out, she's not ready. These days people think that if all of a sudden they want a kid they just have one and then think of the consequences after. Most people are not ready to have a kid. I say live your life, dont pressure your girlfriend and if the time comes when she's ready, great. If it doesnt nothing wrong with that. The world is over populated

Tell her to relax.  I for one hate being pregnant but this is my 3rd in 3 years!  Labor really isn't that bad, and besides they have drugs to help with the pain.  I have had an epidural both times and it doesn't hurt.  Tell your girlfriend, women have been doing this a long time, is she going to sacrifice the best thing ever because of 10 months of pregnancy and discomforts of labor and delivery???

also make sure that video is really what changed her mind.  If she's not ready don't force it.

she'll get over it if she does want one.  Lots of women have more than one and they not only watched it, they experienced it first hand and still did it again.  WAIT for her.

If she is uncomfortable with it or doesn't want to. Then Do Not force her to have a baby. Its her body. Your not the one who will have to give birth. Wait until she wants to.
