My son is almost 3 months old..and I just got him to sleep through the night...I give him two tablespoons of rice cereal in his 9 oz bottle..he sleeps probably from 10pm-6am..for the past 3 nights.. he eats about 5-7 oz of regular bottles every 3 hours during the day..he seems to be sleeping a lot during the day...especially when we go out somewhere and we are moving...is it ok that he is sleeping a lot..today he woke up at 6:30 went back to sleep on me at about7:15 and then woke up at 9:45..then stayed up until about 12:30 then slept until about 4...then he stayed up until about 7 and started to cry and I started to feed him and he fell asleep...we picked him up and now he is up again...i am going to try and feed him now..but I was just wondering if anyone thought there is something wrong or if this is normal..Thanks for the answers...:)

  1. Yes it is normal. Babies go through spurts and at times they sleep more than others. I get a kick out of these questions cause I have a colicky baby that is 5 months and still I get no sleep. Unless baby had his immunizations, is sick then sleeping is actually a healthy thing. Let us switch for two days and see if complaints will ever arise.lol

  2. Newborns sleep an average of 16 hours per day. A three month old is practically a newborn, so don't worry about it right now.

  3. Babies sleep more with milk in a bottle

  4. Your lucky if your baby sleeps that much! It'll be very very healthy! Make sure he plays football, my brother slept just as much and ate so much he's a great football player too!!

  5. Thats completly normal!

    maybe he's tired :)
