Babysitting preteens?

Question

What are some tips on babysitting 11-12 year olds? I have to go tomorrow to stay with them, because their parents are gone. = (

So, what are some cool and exciting activities we could do besides drawing. Thank you!!

Well Im 13 and ever since I was 9 I have been allowed to stay home. I guess just do things that you would enjoy at that age.Listen to music,talk,makeovers,Play games outside,food?

I'm assuming you're an older teen, Most preteens don't want you to be there. Just treat them like you're friends.

Girl:

talk to her like a friend (boys, school, friends)

do nails and hair

dance to music

watch a movie

Boy:

water balloon/gun fight

ride bikes/scooters

watch a movie

Other then that, let them do there own thing and check on the every so often.

spa, movies, movie at home, reading magazines (i guess) cooking, TV. they like being treated like teens too. I dont think 11 and 12 is too old to be babysat, they just need someone to be at the house so they arent alone ALL NIGHT. its not like your making sure that they arent choking on their food or watching MTV

Playing board games can be a lot of fun.

Things like pictionary, balderdash, or taboo get their fun creative minds going, and help them to think outside the box.

Baking is also a good idea, just make sure to clean up.

Drawing, talking, watching movies, play acting, really anything. As long as it's safe and appropriate, you should be fine. Have Fun!!

Umm im 12 and personaly i dont get babysat when im home alone im just very mature for my age...

But just hanging out is good or play outdoor acitivies like soccer or basketball!

But stuff like duck duck goose is to babish.

pretty easy age - still young enough to play lil kids games, but old enough to understand young teenage games. depending if female or male.

well i'm 12... umm i like shopping? haha drawing is way to  babyish for a 11 or 12 year old.. well to me it is... play board games, talk, listen to music, kareoke? umm... dont act like there babies cuz' there gonna think your weird.. :))
