Question:

Babysitting.....?

I just called the Redcross in my city and they said that their babysitting license classes will be on October 25th fom 9am-4pm.

They also mentioned that it costs $60.

I am 16 and I can't wait to get my license. I know I would be a great babysitter. If I don't get an interview or hear from anywhere I applied, I will defenitely go to that class.

I was just wondering if babysitters get jobs quickly? Especially since I am not an adult.......do you think that people would want me to babysit their children?

Would you hire a 16 year old girl if she looked mature and responsible? Would you even leave your child with a babysitter?

Let me know, thank you!

  1. I think you sound wonderful! how old do you have to be to take a class like that? watch my children (lol)

  2. My sitter is 16. It depends on the laws in your state. Even if you look mature and responsible, you will also need to appear kind, considerate, flexible, confident and secure. Do you have a family member with children that you can volunteer to sit for so that you can provide references? Its always helpful if you have someone to back up your claims of being all of those things.
